Didn't quite get the walk in on the weekend, weather warmed up a touch so spent time on the rower and kayak! But on walks around Sydney, we have a walk, The great North Walk that passes near our home and runs to Newcastle, 270 kilometres to the north, so plenty of fantastic countryside to wlak in!

cheers, Baz

Team Mates, Friends,

I am overwhelmed by all kind words. Last year at this time when my future as a rower was uncertain and my contributions to the team were nil your support was one of the things that kept me going.

This years FTC saw so many great accomplishments. Jim coming back from his leg injury. Norma battling health issues while putting in over 270,000 meters. Thor putting the hammer down for his mighty masochists. Our friends on the OD team finishing with a spectacular per person average. The list can go on and on and know I've left out many laudable efforts. You are all great and I congratulate everyone who contributed.

I close with immense gratitude to Kona who puts an amazing amount of time and effort making our team page such a great place to go. THANK YOU K2 :!:

some very impressive meters rowed by the team - 1mill meters - just wow!!!

on the home front my fitness room is "nearly" ready, but at least I can row again.

I had to have a compulsory stop for 2 weeks of the challenge due to some renovation work that took longer than planned.

when we bought the house about 3 years ago, there were a few things I wanted to change. We had a Sauna room, which I wanted to adapt into an allrounder - the wife like the crostrainer, me the rower so we had to compromise.
(i must say - we are both summer outdoorers - winter in bavaria can get cold - so the bikes are put into storage and the wood fire is lit .) )

Anyway - the wall is rebuilt, power cables and lightning finished - media center mounted. Admittedly more work is required for the cabling, but its working.
the small tv displays the same as the larger, but at the right height for the rower, no crick in the neck. Laptop is for row pro. Sound system is loud, Sauna is in the background :)

the room looks large at the moment due to the missing crosstrainer and spinning bike (under cover outside) - but I can row again!!!
