For the first time ever in four years of rowing I tried one of the "Standard" workouts that come loaded onto the PM3. It was 500m with a minute of rest between sets. This sounded fun. Normally I just get on the machine and row a set distance.

The first thing I noticed is that during the minute of rest I would check work emails or otherwise get distracted and wind up a few seconds late for the next set.

After I uploaded the workout i noticed that I picked up an extra 127m; likely the flywheel spinning down between sets.

Last, the minute of rest between sets gets baked into your overall workout time. So if you row at a pace of 2:00/500m it will take you five minutes to complete two sets. Thus your overall pace would be calculated as 2:30/500m. I did not expect this.

Overall I like that workout, and I know one can program custom workouts of a similar nature; a feature I may explore.
