PM4 won't turn on after battery change?? Help!

Post by philc7106 » October 12th, 2015, 2:45 pm

Hi,

My PM4 said batteries required changing as down to 2%, put new Duracells in and now it is totally unresponsive. Have tried plugging in with USB to the Concept 2 Utility App but it isn't recognising the device is connected? Can anyone help at all??

Many thanks for reading,
Cheers,
Phil

Whats the serial number on the back ?

Does it have a reset button on the rear ? try pressing this with a straightened paper clip

Take the batteries out and leave it for 1 hour and refit them, I would also try a second set of batteries in case of the rare chance that one of the cells is faulty.

Thank you for your reply. The serial number is 320011242. Have tried the reset button but no joy.
Many thanks for your help

Take the batteries out for 24 hours.
If it still won't work call Concept2 UK on 0115 934 0140

Its one of the older PM4's that are pre mid 2008 going by the serial number.

The newer version PM4's were a much better and more reliable version.

If it doesn't come back with a new set of batteries, then something's died in it, just found the problem that causes the "no battery present" in the PM3's today when I repaired it, so still learning more about these every day.

The new version PM4 is a really nice monitor, I use one almost every day.
