Congrats Dan on reaching a million meters, and Thanks for sharing the article. I read up a little more on her, and it's amazing how a passion for life and rowing can give you such drive to stay on top of your game, even through the tremendous challenges she faced with cancer, truly inspiring.

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Anyone else wondering if K2 might run into a mooseycle during her weekend adventure?
I'll try to cover the stats for a few days, but have no fear. K2 will be back with fresh bunny trails in two shakes of a lamb's tail.
And speaking of two shakes, I learned that a shake has become a precise measure:
"shake is a recognized unit of time. At the time of the first atomic bomb, scientists needed a term for an interval of time equal to 10 nanoseconds. Since two shakes of a lamb's tail is very quick, scientists coined the word shake to describe this unit of time."
But the shakes I'm talking about are for lunar lambs, so they last a little longer... I don't know, needs an astrogator to explain.
Okay, without further adieu, some stats. I'm a little too lazy for the labor-intensive graphics, so I borrowed a low-tech Gangman Style-ometer to put a stamp by the palindromes, and other special numbers.

Since K2 isn't in the game right now, I thought I would welcome Thomas Rafter to the team. I told him about the forum so perhaps we will see him here soon.
Welcome Tom, a great bunch of people can be found here. Have fun and happy metres.
