I don't remember any of that. I'm definitely going for the trucker hat. It didn't say on the Challenge page, but I read that if you wear the trucker hat while rowing, it makes a beep..beep..beep sound during the drive phase.
Oh no. I just read Virtual Teams aren't eligible for the prizes. I guess I'll just have to get my own beeping hat.

Hiya!
I did sign up for the fall challenge, but I don't know that I'll be able to get in the 100k + on the erg. I am still on the water and will be through Oct. (For any new members, I'm an on the water rower from New Haven, CT, so I don't erg much between April and Nov. when I am rowing with my club.) We do have to do some erg pieces as a requirement for our fall training, so I figured I'd sign up and see where I ended up. Maybe the challenge will encourage me to erg a little extra.
Hope all is going well with everyone!

Tried to post the other day so no one had too much of a shock by my return, but it seems to have gotten lost in the system!
I had major surgery back in March, and only felt up to exercise in the last week or so, and that 2.6k was tough going! I toyed with the idea of doing the challenge, but I've decided against putting myself under any unnecessary pressure.
I guess that if I join by the deadline, any metres already accumulated will count?
Edit: it seems my first post did make it after all. Oops

Sounds like you are on the mend, which is the important thing! You don't have to earn 100K for the Challenge - any meters you contribute are welcome. It looks like the 100K and 200K levels are designed to determine which non-virtual clubs (who are all rowing or ski-erging in the same physical location) get certain kinds of prizes provided they are located in a country that Concept2 ships prizes to...as far as the virtual teams go, well we are competing for bragging rights only (and for the sheer fun of putting a competition out there for ourselves). Do what you can do - and do sign up. We'll be delighted to have you as a Challenge team participant.
