What stretches should I do for...?

This is my first rower and the first time I'm exercising in a long time. What are the stretches I should do that are specific to a Rowing machine? Thanks

and as with just about everything, go slow with the stretching. don't start yanking trying to get your leg in the position that is shown in the diagram.

and go slow with increasing the weekly meters rowed. enjoy it.

Usual procedure for oarsmen is to warm up doing the back stop drill, gradually lengthening the stroke so that we stretch at the same time. This drill has technical value too, as it reinforces the hands-swing-slide recovery sequence. A full length stroke is quite a stretch, as the handle might have to travel 5 feet or so, not a good thing when cold. The warm up and stretch take 5-10 minutes for normal endurance work, longer for sprints.

In addition to back stops drill, all runner/hurdler stretches are appropriate as erging puts a premium on legs, hips, back flexibility.
