Bill-

The erg finder will certainly help but since you are there for two weeks, you should make the drive do Xeno Muller's Iron Oarsman studio in Costa Mesa.

It's not that far from LAX and you will surely love it. If you go earlier in your trip, you'll surely go back.

Neil

Bill,

In Marina Del Rey where I row there is a gym called L.A. Fitness.

http://www.lafitness.com/app/club/club? ... r>
They have 2 Concept 2 model C's. Check it out. Do you row on the water? If so I could arrange to get you a row in one of our club boats. Email me at jdseymour@mac.com

-Don

Try the Pasadena Athletic Club. They have a couple of ergs that look up at the San Gabriel Mountains for motivation. Its a great club in all other regards as well.
