Hi Angela & team,

Feel like I am finally hitting my stride this season. My goal for the year is to row 5K or more a day as much as possible. I like the way you ate posting progress towards milestones Angela, thanks. I do plan to do the dog days of Summer challange and want to row a minimum of 150k in August. We'll see how it goes, with my cross training and work - workout - life balance! Hope everyone is having a good summer.

I accomplished a personal best of sorts today. I rowed 10k meters and it only took me 698 strokes, or 14.33 meters/stroke. This is not something most people track, but I have been trying to increase my meters/stroke (power?) this season, and so far that is my best.

I hope you are all rowing well!

Welcome, Mark E!
Our Team is now at 44.

Here are the meters posted for Monday. 9 ergers were present
Mark E 64,288
Neil Q 20,000
Bobbie Z 18,005
Keir P 13,111
Jim C 10,000
Daniel H 7,153
George  M 5,606
John B 5,177
Andrew A 4,010

Bobbie Z passed 400k

updated targets
Mark E 10,712 m to 75000
Neil Q 30,000 m to 500000
Bobbie Z 38,248 m to 450000
Keir P 16,226 m to 450000
Jim C 40,000 m to 400000
Daniel H 2,847 m to 25000
George  M 40,673 m to 450000
John B 38,184 m to 250000
Andrew A 35,490 m to 200000

Interesting goals from Jim C and John B. My goal had been to row 100k each month which I immediately missed in May (my kids came home from school and one decided to sleep next to my rower - excuses, excuses)

Does the PM track # of strokes? I haven't really explored any of its features. Does anyone use the iPhone connection?

Happy Tuesday!

Hey Smittie, welcome back!

I finally remembered to oil the chain--for awhile I was doing it every 250K as recommended--and boy, what a difference it makes. Hope it's a timely reminder for others too; I could have used a nudge about 300K ago  .

Hope all is well for everyone this summer.

Meters per stroke. Seems interesting. I think that I'll pay more attention and see what I may be doing.

Hi guys! Long time, no speak.

I finally hit 14MM last Wednesday. I'm afraid to do the math to figure out how long it took.

Been obsessing about my new business, especially since I borrowed a bunch of money, and I'm running short. In Internet Marketing they say, "Everything costs. You pay for it either with money or time." Since the money's super-tight, I have to pay for almost everything with Time.
So, I had to learn how to build a website in WordPress, how to create an SQL database, how to install a website, run a Bing ad campaign, a solo ad campaign, run keyword searches, and a lot of other fun things I didn't even know existed 4 months ago. When I concentrate on one area, the other areas begins sliding.
I think the statistic is that something like 1 in 70,000 people really can make a career of Internet Marketing. That's even worse than selling Life Insurance, is probably close to the number in MLM (Multi-Level Marketing). Wait, did I say that out loud about MLM?! No, folks, if I can do it, you can do it! Rah, rah, rah!
It's also a young man's game in IM, and I'm 56.
Thankfully, I'm not a statistic, I'm me, and I'm going to make it. HUGE! But in the meantime, my stomach may hurt, my temples may throb & my wife may give me that serial-killer look of love. C'est la vie!

I keep trying to build back up to an hour or more of straight rowing, and then some big deadline or project looms...
