I started this week and thought it might be fun to touch base with others and see how they are approaching it.

The last time I looked, the game was sort of expensive, so I haven't tried that. I don't row on the lake, but I have spent a lot of time canoeing there. It is a really beautiful, special place. Where are you on the lake BTW?

Here's a pic of the lake for no other reason than to keep you movitivated:

http://sorella3.myfastmail.com/lakechamplain.jpg

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the pic! Is that you kayaking? I love to kayak. My favorite place is out of my local harbor (Santa Cruz, Ca.) I first started rowing on the erg to cross train for longer paddles, but now I love rowing as well, although I much prefer kayaking in the ocean.

I just started the Lake Champlain game this past week. I am now in the third section, Fort Ticonderoga. I started near Whitehall. I am reading each section as I go. It adds a nice dimension to my rowing. I am thinking of doing a marathon, and will do at least a half marathon sometime soon, so it's a nice way to keep things interesting while I increase my mileage.

Hope you had a nice weekend.

Pam

I did the Tour of Lake Champlain a couple of years ago. I like to do all of C2's challenges to help keep things interesting, and to have some goals for which to aim. I didn't, however, do much different in my erging - I didn't do the suggested workouts for each leg necessarily. It was fun to do the tour and make my way around the lake.

I've been considering the Lake Champlain game for a while, as I used to live nearby. Your post has pushed me over the edge - I'd better give C2 a call.
