Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I was checking out some stats just to see where we are in the grand scheme of things.
I sorted the teams by virtual clubs and with members over 51. This gave me 6 teams.
We have 86 members right now.
When sorted by Meters/Member, we are number 1. How great!
When sorted by Season Meters, we are 3. Still very good when you consider the two teams above us have 265 and 203 members.
I know we aren’t a racing team and I hope we never become one. However this tells me that we are a team who uses their machines and care about our health and all the other benefits that go along with it. I think that’s wonderful.
Great job folks and keep on rocking.
Be healthy

26 Lunies are finishers! And many were with us in spirit!
Hooboy! There were a lot of extra special efforts made by teammates for this Challenge. In fact, I think we just might have a couple of FIRST EVERS in this batch. We love to celebrate FIRST EVERS - simply because you walk away from the ERG with such an amazing feeling of accomplishment.
And then there are those who are working hard to get back their meters...and we celebrate your persistence on what can be a longish road back !

Whenever we get two teammates with similar descriptors, like two David W's and now two Doug G's, I need to differentiate them. Doug G, the first, works at or around NASA - which seems fitting for our journey to the moon. So, off I went to look for the NASA symbols. And there are many! Here's what they had to say about the symbol below...nicknamed "the meatball."

Hooyah! The Concept2 Erging Universe expanded again (I know you are as amazed as I am) with the addition of 89 more registered users bringing the total to 13,617. Good stuff. And, our teammate Karyn G was one of those who returned to the Universe, and specifically to our team, yesterday! Welcome back!
Today is an auspicious day here in Colorado. Unlike most of the nation, we celebrate bike month in June, and the fourth Wednesday is always Bike to Work Day. For a couple of years now, I have been watching the construction of the US 36 Bikeway - an 18 mile route between Boulder and Westminster. Those 10 - 12 ft sparkling pathways loomed just out of access...the cone zones have been there, and frequently the path would just be a path to nowhere as additional connectors weren't complete. Crews have been working hard to finish up the phase I section of 11 miles - and that is officially open today with the exception (isn't there always one?!) of two small sections. I'm going to be there for the ribbon cutting ceremony...and bike the sections that I can today. So I'm in a hurry, sort of. I'm sure you understand!

That word lurk reminds me of Lurch on the Addams family show in the sixties, man that show was creepy and kooky. Have fun on the new bike path Kona.Hot Springs is building one but also not complete, we have biked portions with grandkids

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Hey LUNA_TICS I just recently signed up and look forward to being part of the team. I haven't been real active rowing this month, I was quite honestly humbled, when I was invited to try out a high intensity fitness class early in June. I thought I was in pretty good shape, I learned otherwise. I've been doing 1 -2 classes a week and have been in some pain. I'm now starting to incorporate more rowing in but now realize I really need to train the rest of my body. I hope it will help improve my erg scores. Stay healthy and active, and best to all.

Re: All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 6.22.15
I have been testing some software, and with the time constraints I happened to have, I did a 10 km session, rather than a timed session.Kona2 wrote: David A 10,000 m ...unusual number for you!
Actually was quite pleased with my time - 38:51.7.

Sounds good, Richard. Thanks for your and K2's assist. Set a one hour PR for my initiation, 13,391 meters . Yeah, I know it won't win any medals but I'm happy with it.Drivetofast wrote:Welcome Steve Only 1 Problem You are not on team yet. Dr. K2 will fix it

Re: All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 6.21.15
No kidding ... at this point in the rowing season, you can be gone on a couple of fun road trips and ... zap ... your meters are decimated! (Happily, it works just the same in reverse; but that demands effort!)Kona2 wrote: And then there are those who are working hard to get back their meters...and we celebrate your persistence on what can be a longish road back !
