I was surprised last year when I was painting my house and noticed that "C2" was the brand of paint that I was using. I don't know if the marketers of the paint had some subliminal effect on getting me to buy their paint. But, I shrugged it off figuring that using "C2" for a trade name was just purely coincidence and not some diabolical plot aimed at the erging public.

But, now, an even bigger attack on the C2 trademark is about to happen. CocaCola Inc. is advertising their newest beverage product as C2. This means that I can no longer proudly wear my "C2" T-shirt without fear of being confused with some trendy teenage billboard want-to-be. More importantly, the general public should not be duped into purchasing a caffine and refined sugar laden beverage in the hopes of becomming a chisled athlete like the rowing crowd! I certainly hope the Concept2 Inc. lawyers will tell the bigwigs from CocaCola Inc. to cease and disist on their trademark infringement.

Respectfully,

Paul Flack

I would not get hung up on the exclusiveness of C2, after all it is actually Concept2, is it not? C2 is just an abbreviation. Other C2s include a car from Citroen, a graduate careers centre, an internet service provider and loads of others, from my quick search on google. I think you might be a little obsessed with erging? You need help!
