Hi. I am quite new to the rowing concept, but find it really motivating rowing with apps like RowPro and BoatCoac (and ErgData). I would like to see my heart rate (got H7 polar) on BOTH the M400 Polar Watch (as this will record my progress and goals) - and - at the same time on either my PM5 or at the app itself - which support H7.
As I believe the H7 can only transmit to one device at a time - fine (If I am wrong, please correct me). But what about this solution?
H7 > Sport Watch (M400) > app - will that work?
Am I maybe using the wrong brand? Must be a way to see Heart Rate two places? Annoying to stop in the middle of an interval to check my pulse on the watch. What is your configurations? How do you connect your things? What apps/gear/equipment do you use for tracking progress and get motivated? Do you use other brands - with more versatile compability?
Thank you so much in advance.

I'm not certain about a watch, but I am able to have the end result you're looking for if I understand you. I am assuming iOS.
Get the Polar Beat app. This will be handle saving the workout results and managing the H7. You only need to use the H7, no watch. In the settings for the heart rate sensor in the app make sure visibility is on. This is what lets it feed ErgData later.
This is the app you want to start first and get paired.
When it I paired and before starting a workout, start ErgData and make sure it shows the heart rate. Sometimes you need to close it completely and restart it. (close it not background it)
Once ErgData shows the heart rate, you can turn on Bluetooth on the PM5 and pair ErgData with that.
Now it is OK to tell Polar Beat to start your workout.
You will see the heart rate on the ErgData screen, and Polar Beat will store the entire workout and upload it to your account automatically, likewise with ErgData.

Strapping the watch on the handle allows you to view it easily without stopping. I have done that both OTW and OTE.MadsNilsson wrote: Annoying to stop in the middle of an interval to check my pulse on the watch.

Thank you both. I feel stupid not thinking about strapping the watch on the erg. For the first solution, will the polar watch register the workout as accurate as if I had it connected to the h7 itself? As I think my calories will be more accurate counted when connected? Best, Mads
