After entering my last two days of rowing I looked over and saw that I surpassed 21million meters. It was another great feeling for sure!!

I am stretching more, drinking more (water) haha gin on weekends. Not pushing as hard and the cramps aren't as severe or as often. Again thanks all for the help and advice.

Happy rowing,

Ed
CONGRATULATIONS ED!!!! I can't even imagine how much time you've spent on your erg. Glad to here you're doing better. Here's to 21,000,000 more!!

Glad to hear about the progress with the cramps. Maybe a sports drink (electrolytes) might help, too.
Definitely. These are my favorite two sports drink recipes:

Copycat Sports Drink (Gatorade)
1/2 cup orange juice – OR ½ cup strong green tea – OR 2 T fresh lemon juice
9 T sugar
1/2 t organic sea salt
8 cups water

Thanks for these recipes going to try them both. I drink Gatorade here but very expensive!!
This recipe makes a sports drink with a similar balance of carbohydrates and electrolytes to Gatorade.

All Natural Lemon-Lime Sports Drink
3 cups filtered water
1/4 cup raw honey
1/4 t organic unrefined sea salt
1/3 cup lemon and/or lime juice

A good sports drink allows the water to be absorbed more quickly than plain water alone. Use for any activity that takes you past 90 minutes. (Up to that point, plain water is usually fine.)

You can even add the day-glo colors, too, for a more realistic copy-cat recipe ... :)

Hope you and yours are enjoying some Memorial Day weekend celebrations! A sincere thanks to all our veterans and their families for their service. Welcome back to Michelle and Matt.

Meanwhile, our resident artist is a man of many talents (and interests). He has given me a program to determine our team meters quickly, and I am trying to be savvy enough to use it. Gasp. I am usually pretty good with the technology. I figure it is good for the brain to change things up, and you may see our data displayed differently in the near future. We shall see what transpires, and in the meantime, thanks go out to AJ for working on stats efficiencies for me!

Season meters as of 24/365 = 9,046,010 m

Welcome back to ImageG-l-o-r-i-a Image

Hail, hail, the gang's all here .... leave your worries at the door....at least the hail was only pea-sized, and the replacement mandevillas survived the sudden squall. I am not sure if the ones I picked up are "Red Riding Hood" or "Ruby Star" - half the fun is in the names, and the showy red! On the flip side, I will be replanting the pumpkins for the giant pumpkin growing contest....those plants went sailing downstream. Wish we could send those areas that need rain some of what we are receiving!

Hooboy! Lots of erging went on yesterday (especially for a holiday). Whether it was a pre-cookout or post-cookout erg session, some awesome meters were produced!

Season meters as of 25/365 = 9,819,435 m

Total meters on the day = 773,425 m

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

800 K Richard T

I wish you could share your rain, too! Other than wilting seriously in the late afternoon sun, my competitive pumpkins are off to a fine start. They're not the giant Atlantic behemoths, but they're proud to be in the race!

hey all
Goofy question of the day.
Is there a list of exercises one can do while rowing to work other muscles by changing one's grip on the handle? I search but couldn't find anything. There is just talk of intervals and things of that nature.
Example, If I change my grip to an under handed grip it may work the backs of my arms more. Perhaps I could curl the handle up to work the front of my arms.

Thanks Luna-Tics

What is cross fit endurance?
A weighted best? Like it's not hot enough rowing without a shirt on? Grin.
