RowPro is horrible for Mac / Parallels --

This programs should not be advertised to run on Parallels for Mac.

It loads, it doesn't load, it loads in 2D, it crashes --

-- it's just miserable.

So much, I'm not looking for a reasonable PC to run it on.

Suggestions?

Have made several posts on the spec you need. Only something old like a Pentium 4 but you need as really good graphics card. RowPro V4.1 runs like a dream on Windows 8.1.

What are the specs on your Mac and your virtual machine?

my mac is running 10.7.4, 2.66 ghz i7, 8 gb ram, 600 gig ssd

not sure about my virtual machine -- except it's parallels.

If you aren't allocating enough RAM and disk space for your virtual machine, that could be the cause of issues running RowPro. You should compare their system requirements to your virtual machine specs.

Have you tried contacting RowPro's technical support?

I have worse specs than that on my macbook and have never had any problems even with Rowpro 3 on Parallels running full 3D.

I'm running RowPro 4.3 on a 2010 Mac Mini via Parrelels and windows 8.1 pro. So far it's ran great, the 2010 is an old core due machine running at 2.3 Ghz I think, I do have 8gb of ram in it though which is its max. The machine actually does double duty running RowPro in Parrelles while running a DVR called SightHound for my surveillance cameras, gets a little warm but doesn't miss a beat with about 30 Fps for the graphics.

Perhaps it's your Ram, I would max it out.

There's a new Mac native version of RowPro so you can ditch bootcamp/parallels now.

Because I'm a new user and actually didn't look at the dates. The problem with the Mac version is the licensing stinks, I don't want to pay a monthly fee. So its Parallels with a $75 one time fee.

Buy a PC, Mac stinks full stop.

Hopefully RowPro migrates to mobile devices, then the revolution can begin.

Found the data useful in RowPro (it needed work, pace is NOT a linear function)...for about 6 months while your improving after that it has no motivational factor for most people to continue training.

I guess there will always be different market segments for an App no matter what it is you come up with your bound to sell licences for it but for me its turning a static bit of indoor exercise equipment into something more interactive and for that you need the online rowing.
