Yes it's a funny one. Sometimes a rower will put in an incorrect entry by accident or use the wrong ID - some rowers have Hwt ID & Lwt ID. I'm sure it will be tidied up. Citroen (Dougie) is man for this.

It'll get cleaned up on 31st March if it's still there. Planky is a fully grown 75Kg male who should know how the CTC challenge and web site works.

I used to have the belly, and the beard is growing out this season, I'm going to be a grandfather for the first time this summer and my new grandson will need his picture taken with Santa.

Thanks Henry. Closing in on 3MM meters in my first yr of erging which accidentally coincided with the C2 yr as I started on 6 May '14. I had higher totals than this 6 of the past 11 months but I''m happy that I was able to do 10k a day on the MSC at a consistent 90-95% of my best pace with none of the 50watt zombie rowing  that I resorted to for UltraXtremE meter-chasing on the Fall and Virtual challenges. Morning!!!!!!

Apologies for absence/neglect...now back in the land of the rowing.

If yhou didnt know there used to be a monthly Flyers newsletter............nwo there is a bimonthly one and i have just done the first one. Forgive the frilly edges, it will imporve as time goes by but it will n ow be bimonthly.

How do i get this........You can get it from Bookface, or you can send me an appropriate email address and you'll automatically get it.

This is the only email you will get from me and i promise not to send lots of emails claiming to be an eastern european lady seeking friendship and i am not Nigerian, so i wont get away with that one either.

Hope all is good with you over the pond

Happy rowing :)

Hello lovely people,

Into the 2nd quarter of the season, new challenge on the CTC, 3 x 9mins with 3min rests. Record the total for the 27mins

http://www.c2ctc.com/

Cracking training for the 2k and even better for the 5k. Should easily start with your 5k pace say for the first two reps and then let rip (not literally) for the last one.

Seem to be doing pretty well on the team standings so keep those meters coming

Off on holiday for three weeks, so incommunicado.

All the best

Cheers

Chris

Have a great holiday Chris.
The CTC is indeed a good training piece for both 2 and 5k.
I have just done the CTC and managed 1:50.7 which is just 5k PB but is wasn't easy I can assure you!

hi everyone, i thought i'd introduce myself seeing as though iv'e joined the team, iv'e been lurking on the forum a few days now reading and trying to get up to speed on all things with indoor rowing.

I am Darren, 47, approx 82kg / 5'!0", never rowed before other than short stints at the gym, got my first machine the other day, E model, did a couple of rows yesterday to try and get my technique sorted, i was doing a couple of things completely wrong so my form will be a work in progress but i am getting there.

I live in the Pilbara in Western Australia, we don't really get much of a winter and with typical outside temps through summer of 40-45 celcius and hotter everyday i was looking for a way of getting some cardio in without cooking in the sun :)
My goals are to try and convert some of the fat i am carrying but retain some muscle and will incorporate some weights to help with this.

I PM'd Lindsay, he has been helpful in explaining about CTC challenges etc, still a bit dusty with what all the numbers mean and how everything works etc but i'm sure i will pick it up.

cheers
Darren

Welcome Darren, always nice to see new blood. The erg can help you in manny ways, but... Its you yourself who has to do the real work. No doubt Lindsay will help you along.

Cheers Henry :D
