This is the one that had the problem of metal fatigue near the foot supports. I did install the reinforcement kit when I got the rower, but yesterday the metal failed catastrophically. I am awaiting a replacement part and until then I'm afraid I won't be any help to the team :(
Sad from the sidelines.

First you break yourself to pieces, and now your erg! :o You're a beast
It's been nice to see that you have been getting in a lot of meters lately. I hope you are doing okay, and recovering well.
(I also hope your erg recovers well, and soon.)

Thanks David and bg for the kind words. Let's hope that the Erg goes back together better than my finger did :) I've already received the UPS tracking info saying that the part shipped today with scheduled delivery tomorrow. I have my tools ready and I really hope to be rowing before the end of the day tomorrow :? I'll then have a good reason to watch basketball B)

Doesn't everyone end their rowing session with a celebratory erg jump?
(But Ron, check out the whole line of spares.)

I hop off mine in a hurry, but I wouldn't call it a jump! More like a hobble.

Image. Day 18 of 31 of March Madness Mudness and we are still "winnerless" in the random drawings of the Challenge.... there is still time! Get your 5K or 10K day in the meter bank!

Image Not as much activity on this one yet. We have TWICE as many worldwide active participants on the Concept2 books with something like 40,000 plus people registered on the C2 site (that is so amazing!). Seems like these Challenges sometimes run together, especially when we're doing the Madness Challenge and then add in the World ERG Challenge to run concurrent with the second half of the Madness.

http://log.concept2.com/team/teamStandi ... group=team. Here's a link to the current standings for the WEC.

Image. It is a dark and stormy afternoon.... great time for indoor edging..good luck with the erg jumping!

Season meters as of 321/365 = 107,902,699 m

Total meters on the day = 378,586 m

More Number Fun

Post by Kona2 » March 18th, 2015, 8:02 pm

Some of you may know about The Week magazine - it's a great wrap of US and international news with a point / counterpoint style. I am borrowing the crossword puzzle that they posted in this week's edition simply because it is all about Pi, and ratios, and some of you may get into these things. It also has a VERY tricky element of literally being outside the box of crossword usual rules.... sneaky dudes and dudettes. Here's the link to the puzzle, and I will post a photo of it just in case you can't access it.
