BobGear - what data did you manage to get your 310XT to capture? I have a SkiErg with version 17 beta firmware. And my 310Xt only captures speed and HR, not power or cadence which I was hoping for. This is one example of how one of my workouts look like in Garmin Connect https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/688892177

Can anyone from Concept2 confirm what data that is sent out from the PM5? If I have missed that info in the thread please let me know... I must admit I did not find it while searching and did not read all posts in detail... If the PM5 sends more data than I can capture with my 310XT I would like to ask Garmin why they do not record the data.

Reading on the thisisant-website I understand that the ANT+ Fitness Equipment Profile supports the following data export:

Start / Stop / Pause workout
General data
  • Settings (Cycle length, Incline, Resistance level)
  • Distance, Speed, Heart Rate
  • Metabolic data
Equipment specific data
  • Treadmill (Cadence, Vertical distance)
  • Elliptical (Vertical distance, Stride count, Cadence, Power)
  • Bike (Cadence, Power)
  • Rower (Stroke count, Stroke rate, Power)
  • Climber (Cycles, Cadence, Power)
  • Nordic Skier (Stride count, Cadence, Power)
I got this from the following page http://www.thisisant.com/developer/ant- ... es#525_tab

Thanks
Stefan

I use 910XT and I guess the data is simelar for 310XT.

Here is my SkiErg 10K attemp for Tour de SkiErg: No Power data.

Here is a 4x750m intervall attemp for the Concept2 montly challenge group at facebook. It has power data, but it doesn't tell me much. I don't know what this data is.

It looks like no power data is generated at SkiErg. You can actually read out the power from the speed if you change from km/t to min/km. Please note that on the concept2 PM you get min/500m and min/km is the double :-)

Using Garmin FR210 watch and upload files to TrainingPeaks http://tpks.ws/xJGd . Getting HR, Wattage, SPM, Speed. Still do not understand why it is not possible to record a FIT file on PM5.

I received a PM5 to upgrade my model B last week and connected up to a PC running RowPro and Garmin heart rate monitor - All running sweetly.

Is there any advantage in using a USB stick for data storage when I am going to be the only rower using the machine for training, and will always be using that machine? The only difference I can see is that using the external memory allows the heart rate belt I.D. to be stored. (Strange that - Why can't the ID be stored in the PM5 internal memory?) Are there any other advantages?
