PM5 - Unable to pair Samsung Note 4 via bluetooth

Post by matthed » March 9th, 2015, 1:15 pm

I was trying to pair my Samsung Note 4 with the PM5 and got the following error message stating unable to communicate with the PM5.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Have a read of the firmware release notes here
http://www.concept2.com/service/monitor ... e/timeline

Support for Android via Bluetooth is still in the pipeline.

Hi

I had the same problem with my samsung note 2 and note 10.1 and Josh from C2 gave me the below sollution

"Thanks for trying all those things out, but I am afraid it is not going to work for you right now. I was made aware this morning that Version 1.04 currently available in the Google Play App store is for PM3/4 only. There is a ‘beta’ version of ErgData available at /software.concept2.com/ErgData-Android/ErgData.apk if you want to get started right away, but we feel it best to wait for version 1.09 or higher to show up on the Google Play app store which should be soon.

Further, please note that the connection to the PM5:
- Requires firmware version 18 or above
- Connection should be made within the ErgData App itself,
- Customers attempting to connect to the PM5 through the phone’s “Settings”, “Bluetooth”, etc. may see a brief connection but then be disappointed."

First make sure Bluetooth is working and your phone is visible. Then open the Ergdata app (beta) on your phone. Choose for "Wireless on" on the PM5. If there is no prompted question about connecting to PM5 go in Ergdate on your phone to settings and choose for the option "Connect phone to PM via Bluetooth". Your PM5 will be shown and then choose for connect.

Grtz and good luck

Just wanted to let folks know that the latest version of Ergdata app resolved this issue.
I can now connect via bluetooth.
