Hey guys
Remember me? Haha. Well much has happened. I appear to have the net and I currently plan to start rowing again tomorrow. No promises just yet but that’s the plan. I will have a look back a couple of pages and see what’s been going on but just wanted to say hi. I see that it’s mud madness time. Here’s hoping some of the Lunes win some draws.
Have fun
Love Thor.

She's A Meter Millionaire!!

Whoop, whoop and hooyah! Congratulations, Lynne C, on achieving a ONE million meter Concept2 erging season! We wish you many, MANY more!!

This one might be a first ever million in a season....Lynne C will have to confirm this for us. And, I am sure there is a backstory that needs to be highlighted as well. Lynne was busy erging along in the 5K range here and there, and then she hit the afterburners and started throwing down consistent 10Ks, met up with Minnie for lunch, and she's been rowing lights out for some time now. From about December 1st until now, she's put in 600K to reach that one million...well done!

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 3.5.15

Congratulations! You made it through the week ! Image ....and yesterday I forgot all the shamrocks and pots-of-gold.....tsk tsk...

ImageImage Image The Iditarod starts Monday in Fairbanks this year, and 600 miles of it will be on river ice. Some say this will be a very fast race with finishers coming into Nome in ten days. Usually the race starts in Anchorage, and they will have a ceremonial start there on Saturday as sledders take a lap through Anchorage. With Anchorage's normal snowfall of 60 inches, and this year held so far to 20 inches, it's no wonder that people are suggesting that Boston's 100 plus inches of snow is a better start.

The Idita-Walk is something that Jim Kielma first brought to our attention several years ago. This "officially" starts in February, and the idea is to get 1049 minutes of walking done in the 59 days from February 1 - March 31st, following the usual official distance of the Iditarod trail...of course, this usually depends upon whether the sledders are headed north or south route since these are different distances if I remember correctly. Something to put on your calendar for next year. Idita-Walk benefits a group of inventive Nome AK youths who found a way to raise money for their camp in a region where raising money is really difficult. http://www.idita-walk.com/idw/Index.asp Several of us have competed in this before - and there's even a K9 component.

Season meters as of 309/365 = 92,429,958 m

Total meters on the day = 335,807 m

Concept2's "random" drawings continue to occur on the same dates as previous years...so your next opportunity for a double up as in 5K and 10K looks to be Monday. So the randomly selected dates....we do appreciate the opportunity to win Concept2 freebies. I would be SO disappointed if no one on our team won anything this year....it just wouldnt work for me statistically!

Thanks everyone! This in indeed my first 1 MILLION meter season! I couldn't have done it without all of the motivation and support I have received from the Luna-Tics! What an awesome team! Minnie..thanks for serving as my role model and turning me onto The Good Wife! It made rowing 10K each evening a breeze! It was fun to meet you in person and I look forward to lunch again soon! Kona, thanks for all of the the work you put into keeping up with our stats and recognizing our accomplishments...you too have been instrumental in keeping me on track and focused! I look forward to rowing with you all for many more years and millions more meters!

Thanks again!

Lynne
