PM5 cradle

Post by btlnorway » January 8th, 2015, 9:52 am

Hi!!

I bought a android kit with cradle that fits PM3 and PM4. It fits PM5, but very poorly, and with high risk that telephone will fall down while rowing. The cable and software (Ergdata) works perfect.
I think it's a bit easyer with Ergdata than using the USB stick.
Does anybodey know if a new cradle for PM5 be available for sale soon?

Yes, it's in the works. It's been designed to work on PM3/4/5 and we hope to have it within a month. C2JonW

Any intention to make an ipad cradle?
Maybe one that fits at the pivot bolt of the arm holding the PM.
Reson for me is not so much for the ergdata, but rather netflix on the ipad.
Have been thinking about making one myself, but would rather buy something well designed :-)

I am new to the using the C2, but I have enjoyed watching Netflix on my KIndle Fire. What I did was to take a metal framed book holder that I purchased at "5 Below"(---some have used it as a decorative plate holder too) and applied a few strips of tape to the bar that holds the PM5. It actually fits nicely. I then purchasaed an extension audio cord to allow me to hook up my earphones and have enough space to not pull the cord out of the unit. The whole setup works fine. It sits at a nice eye level height, and the image on even a 7" KIndle Fire is fine for rowing. I'd like to re-work my family room TV set up so that it sits higher up, and then I'd be able to watch Netflix/HBO, etc on the 46" Flat Screen. Presently, the TV sits just a bit too low, the PM5 monitor gets in the way. Again, though, the Kindle Fire set up works great so far.

I use a clear arm band that I wrap around the post just below the PM5. Works pretty good.

Excellent, I'll be buying one as soon as it's in the UK store! Whoever gets one first, please share your experience with it on here.

I've been using the cradle (and early prototypes) with my i5 with an Otter "Box" and it's a good fit.....C2JonW

hmmz, the shop sent me the old pm3/pm4 cradle.
Called them, the new cradle is out of stock (or has never been in stock).
They are expecting to deliver the new cradle in 1-2 weeks.... :|

Waiting for the iPhone cradle, i have attached my twelve south hoverbar to my concept2 d.
Perhaps a better solution then the iPhone cradle. :)

Hi

I also use a gooseneck clamp for watching downloads on an ipad mini at the gym and it works really well, inexpensive and it makes an hour fly by. Type 'ipad gooseneck' into your countries amazon search box. If your gyms wifi is as lame as mine then streaming netflix isnt possible but the BBC iplayer allows some great downloads for free.

:D

This is the gooseneck holder that I bought. It works great for the IPAD.
