Model D is here

Post by Goodthrust » February 24th, 2015, 10:47 am

Well my Model D has finally arrived. My first rower that I've owned so there will be a bit of a learning curve. Had to get the extra-long mono-rail as I have a 36inch inseam. So building this thing was a bit of a challenge as the mono-rail was not built. Obviously figured it all out.. Got it set up... Super excited to get that first stroke in... and then. Nothing..... The chain wouldn't budge. Soooooo flipped it over saw that the chain was off the wheel spokes.... Have NO idea how that happened.... But just popped it back on and no we are in good working form. Now I need a USB cable to hook up the PM5 to a laptop so I can use rowpro. I'm looking forward to learning... getting fit and maybe enter some team races or challenges!!!

OK.. some snags... PM5 came delivered without the firmware upgraded. I have NO thumb drive and I DON"T have an A to B generic USB connector... Looks like a trip to Best Buy...

The A to B is just a printer cable.

There should have been one in the box.

I don't think the USB cable is in the box?
You can get one very cheap at ebay.com.
Good luck with the rowing :-)

That's a change. Concept2 used to ship a 5 metre USB-A to USB-B with every PM3/PM4.

Yes, I think they also had a Garmin belt and a log card in the PM4 box, but not in the PM5. It comes with a usb-stick and without the belt. No cable in the PM5 box.

Got my Model D with PM5 a week ago.

I assume with a USB stick I can upload my training straight to the log on here?

Can someone point me to instructions?

Thanks

You still need to use the Concept2 utility program to read the USB stick and update the online log at http://log.concept2.com
