Is this even possible?

Post by frosty1998 » January 20th, 2015, 1:27 pm

My friend hoped on the erg for the first time on the gym and sent me a snapchat of his piece, which I have attached to this post. In this snapchat is said he rowed 4066 meters in 10 minutes and 29 seconds, as shown on the screen. Is this even possible?

The monitor is configured for the wrong model.

Main menu --> More Options --> Utilities --> LCD Contrast

Once you're on that menu press [CHANGE UNITS] three times then press [CHANGE DISPLAY] three times. That brings up the hidden menu where you can reset the monitor to a model D/E (from model B/C). It's likely to go wrong every time the batteries go stone cold flat.

6s/m the first 5 min and 2s/m the next 5 min.
Not possible to row so far with with so low strokes pr minute. I guess he have cheated, manipulated the picture or there is a glitch?

I guess that the best rowers in the world will row with a speed at about 1:30 pr 500m at 10 minutes.

Yes, no cheating, just a mistake. Like Doug says above.
