"When initiating your drive, apply equal pressure to the foot plate and to the handle to achieve a sense of weightlessness or suspension over your seat. Drive hard with the feet and exert pressure on the handle. This connection between seat and hands will give you a powerful start to your stroke. You always want the seat to move simultaneously with the handle."

I have to see the first crossfitter who has a somewhat decent technique. Its pure fitness that gets them going.

As promised, my current video from today's session..

I went very slow to try and learn (and show) the technique.

Let me know what you think of any aspect of this technique.

I find it hard not to shoot the slide and it's always in my mind. I find it does not make sense that you drive off the feet to accelerate the drive and naturally your legs will spring out first (and hence the shoot the slide) - but trying to align / connect the seat with the body and handle in alignment - is hard for me to understand and put into practice...

Should me knees be deeper into my arm pits at the catch?

Any feedback is appreciated to improve on???

You fixed that arm pull :D
Now lenghten the stroke, swing back a bit more and do look so serious :!: meaning keep your face relax.

You are mostly doing one thing, thinking way to much. Its looks pretty ok. Apart from a bit of lack of lenght. Whst MOSTLY is missing is power/fitness. And the only way you get that is putting in the work. Meters and time is what you need.

Thanks HJS.

How is my posture this time?

Am i using my arms at all (to compete against the leg muscles) in the first part of the drive stroke?

Yes, more meters is what i need now - but I need to be sure of the technique is fairly OK before I start grinding away...

Your butt still starts to move just a fraction of a second before your shoulders.
