Is there a shuttle service operating from the airport to the hotel? if not, whats the best way to get there (taxi?)

and what about on race day, is there a bus or anything going from the hotel?
How are you brits all getting there?

Here are the directions cut and pasted from the Concept 2 email on how to get to the Hyatt from the airport and from the Hyatt to the venue via subway:

The hotel website is: http://regencyboston.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/. The directions to the hotel from the airport via the “T” are as follows:

Take the Silverline, direct from the airport. You will take this to South Station, where you will get on the red line in-bound towards Boston.

Get off at Downtown Crossing exit. The easiest way to get to the hotel is via Chauncey Street, where you will take the escalator up to Chauncey St., and make a right out of the T exit. Walk approx. 100 yards, where the Hyatt hotel is located on your right (you will see a garage exit, there is an entrance through there into the Hyatt).

The venue is the Agganis Arena at Boston University. Their website is: http://www.agganisarena.com/. You can take the “T” to the venue from the hotel. You will need to take the “B” train on the green line outbound and get off right in front of the arena. Plan on 30-40 minutes from hotel to venue via the “T”. Here is the link for the green line: http://www.mbta.com/traveling_t/schedul ... e_b.asp.

I went to the CRASH-B web site and saw they have had a race every year since 1982. I also saw they started the race to break up the monotony of winter training.

Because of last weekend's severe weather shutting everything down to include airports and highways, there is always the potential of competitors not getting to the race venue as well as equipment not arriving on time. And then there is the issue of getting back to where you came from, particularily for those who have to work on Monday.

I'm going! :D Been wanting to do the crash Bs since starting the sport 4 years ago, can't wait.

As long as I get there on Wednesday they can shut the airport for as long as they like, can't work if I can't get home can I?
I have been sick for the past two weeks, haven't been able to row, and am still running a fever. I don't see how I could really expect to row on Sat. So I decided today (at the last minute possible) to cancel our trip to Boston. It was hard to justify spending the money on the hotel, and travel, and eating out, if I was sick the whole time, couldn't row, and couldn't really even enjoy the whole experience. So this is a pretty big disappointment. I will have to make this up next year I guess.

Good luck to everyone racing. Sorry I will not be there to cheer you on, but will be watching on the webcam.

I will be there at one of the C2 booths for most of the day. I have erg #35 at 9:15, but have not been rowing much lately so it will be a slow one.......JonW

We will be demoing the Fish Game at CRASH-B, and giving away Swedish Fish (gummy-bear-like candy) to anyone who stops by and tries their luck. Mend quickly and continue to race on RowPro. That's the problem with winter sports events ... colds, flu, other illnesses much more prevalent than during summer.

Regards ... Mark
