Happy Holidays, Team TimBukTOO!

Hang in there for that Holiday Challenge!

Nice to meet another Bill the Cat fan.

So your picture may be a good test of one's outlook on life. Is this gingerbread dude dying from a hard row, or is he getting pumped up by doing some modified/easy push-ups? I'd like to think that he's doing an extra push-up workout.

Regardless though, I'd like to thank Lisa and the Cap'n for motivating us through another year of rowing.

Good luck with the upcoming challenges everyone and stay safe during the holidays.

Sure, otherwise there would have been a single chocolate chip placed strategically under his head. :)

We have some really big totals for this fund raiser from many of our team mates- impressive rowing- this is a great team.
As some of us falter or run ( or row ) into obstacles, others step up.
That is the essence of team.

Now for another obscure musical ( lyrical ) reference, and sorry that this is being thrown out to you completely out of context:
"Can't talk to you without talking to me-"

We are a great team.
This virtual relationship is a good one of which to be a part.

I wish there was a "like" button for Gary's post! This team is such a great group of eclectic folks. I erg at the YMCA so this challenge gets me out of the house on the gray chilly days I'd rather stay home. Often times the head coach of the University of Alabama's Womens Rowing Team will be on one of the other Concept 2's. He just shakes his head and laughs at the crazy numbers I work for. Once the challenge is over I'll get back to intervals and the pyramids. For now it is just the distance. Hope to end up with one last half marathon the 24th....Erg on!!

So Team,I need feedback on the advantages of a Model D vs. a Model E C2 rower. I looked on Amazon and the price difference is about $200. Any thoughts?

The YMCA here in Tuscaloosa has the model D Concept 2's. When i travel to NYC I stay at the Vanderbilt YMCA for it's central location, affordable price, and gym workout privileges. The Vanderbilt Y has the model E's. For all practical purposes the machines are identical with the Model E being taller. There is a comparison You tube of the two models on the Concept 2 site. Since you are buying this new, go the extra mile and get the add on for a heart rate monitor. Tracking your heart rate is a great training aid. Being able to see the read out directly in front makes it a lot easier. I strap my "monitor watch" to the concept 2 handle. If I were buying my own machine that option is one thing I would not pass on.

Can't decide--should I row the measley 4,168 meters that I need to hit 2MM? Or should I take the day off for my birthday? Decisions, decisions!

Happy holidays to all my teammates! :D
