How Long Before You Get Your Code
Competitions
I did a 6 k this weekend and wanted to rank it. I got the following message:

Congratulations on rowing such a great piece!
To enter times that qualify for the top places, you must enter a code. To request your entry code, simply email denah@concept2.com with the following information:

Your email address used for the ranking
Your first and last name and the country you live in
Details of your row (time, distance, location, etc.)
Once you have received your entry code, enter it in the field provided below to submit, and then click rank
Cheers and good rowing!
Concept2

I did this, how long does it take for c2 to check tis all. it,s two days ago and I haven,t heard anything (I am a bit unpatient I think )
And what about ranking pieces you do at the gym, I do have a logcard, can I use that to get performances in the rankings.

I am beginning to find it a bit strange, There are lot off performances in the rankings without a code and a mean high in the rankings. And now I want to rank a decent but not all that great one and a need a code all of a sudden. Very strange if you ask me.
This happened to me last year when I tried to rank a good, but not great (except to me!) half marathon. After I had sent about a week's worth of increasingly frantic emails, I discovered C2 had been replying via my ISP rather than to the hotmail account they have on file.

Also, the code in question is one Dena sends you, not the other way around. I'm not sure what the point of the exercise is, but you don't need a logcard or PM3.
Had the same thing for my latest 500m piece. 3rd j18 heavyweights, how long should it take?

I took me about three days to get a code from Dena. That code is good for the whole season and allows you to rank any events. You still end up with an "IND". In order to get the "IND_V", you need to edit your posted time and input the validation code generated by the PM3 with version 90 (or later) of the firmware.

(Give or take 5 hours for GMT vs Eastern Standard Time.)

Yesterday, (for my ranking HM) I was having trouble with getting the IND_V, I sent my details, an *.LCB file from my logcard to Dena. I got a reply back later from BillP with the explanation of what was going wrong (I had 1:21:47.7; the validated time was 1:21:47.6). My e-mail was sent Mon, Jan 23, 2006 5:18 AM EST, Bill's reply was sent Mon, Jan 23, 2006 11:22:44 EST. [So, it was waiting in Dena's inbox first thing Monday.]

Dena and Bill must work hard with all the e-mail they get from rowers around the world, but have both always been very responsive for me. Give them a chance, don't hassle until a week has gone by.
