First you call me "fat and out of shape", but then when you can't produce as much power, you try to adjust the power based on all that extra "fat" (bones and organs too). Somehow denying that the muscular power production is simply superior. Of course you can admit that an ant is far stronger than you, and at least you would be consistent. But that would be ridiculous wouldn't it, as you've never met an ant that you could not squash easily.

The absolute value of power produced really does matter, you can either light the bulb or you can't, and you can't.

You've been discreditted. Do you really want to continue?

In the end, the person who is on the top of the podium is the winner. The losers tend to formulate statements such "PAT percentages" and the like. I remember, I played competative sports (hockey, from Canada, what can I say) and I remember blaming the ref, the goal post and so forth. But, as Mr. Rupp has attempted to do so many time, he will attempt to find some way to attack me next as I disagree with his philosophy of "although I lost, I actually worked harder and therefore deserve more credit".

Cheers!!!!!!

Darren

Oh, and btw Paul, I will get back to you on coming out to the club. I was out of town for the past week.

And you see, I can take the fun jokes, although using cut and paste to make the statement make what you want it to sounds so much like the government. Should I call you big brother?

D

What is that? Four boat lengths?

A schmeer.

What's your point? I missed it.

To complete with Watt, it sounds as though you need to get 11 seconds better, even _with_ the adjustments.

And let's say someone comes along and beats Watt by 10 seconds. Then to compete, you need to row 20 seconds better. What's that? Seven or eight boat lengths?

ranger

NH--

I am not sure why you are comparing yourself to Watt. Watt is a world record holder. The WR in your division is 6:07. You are now rowing around 6:20.

You still have a bit of work to do.

Your lean mass comparison to Watt comes out about the same as your relation to Ripley. You are still 10-15 seconds off the pace.

If you think losing weight will help you with making up some of this difference, then why not just do it?

ranger
