Hey team,
Thanks to Lisa setting a goal of $400 for the team, it kinda fired me up to at least get into the money of 100k, which I did this morning, felt like I had to scratch and claw my way though, couldn't seem to keep a very good pace. On a side note, just a little promotion for my state of Colorado, If anyone gets the chance to visit here, you've got to attempt the Manitou incline, in manitou springs,(s of denver by 1 hour).http://www.manitouincline.com/. It's a 2100 ft vertical climb up a mountain, with 40 -70% grades. It's just over a mile long, but I guarantee it's one of the most challenging miles you could ever walk. The reward at the top is an incredible view shared by all the finishers. A 3 mile run back down the mountain completes the whole course. Then, if you want you can take a cog rail train to the top of pikes peak, a 14000ft + summit, or if you're really feeling energetic you can hike up. There is a whole list of fun things to do in Manitou. Iv'e done it 3 times and cant break 40 minutes getting to the summit. and dont worry there really isn't that many pot shops here

Hey, don't blame that $400 on ME! That was Cap'n Izz. It will certainly be a challenge for the team, but I'm game.
As usual, challenges get me off my butt, and back onto my butt on the erg. With our stretch money goal and all our adaptive teammates setting an amazing example, I've rowed three straight and vow to contribute to the money raised by this team!!!

Ya'll did it... made up my mind to get to the "Y" early tomorrow morning and do a 1/2 marathon to get me over the 100,000 meter mark to start earning some $$ for the team!! Was going to go slowly through my "progressions" but I need to break that 100,000 meter barrier ASAP.... my poor behind... even with a cushion, extra padding, and balmex I'm so sore!! LOL!! What I go through for my team!!!

I did the 1/2 marathon early this morning. 1:46:4.6. Erged with my feet out of the straps to use my core more and took an extra water bottle to be able to do the entire set without a break. It was a good thing I was not on the water as my last couple 1000 meters were pretty poor form wise. I hate to admit it, but I was wiped out for the rest of the morning, but I'm in the money now!

I thought that maybe I had set our team goal too high. So, I checked it against the general C2 goal of $30,000, which seems to be reached every year. That goal is only 11.7% towards being reached, while our TimbukTOO goal of $400 is already 19.5% covered! So I'm guessing we'll be just fine...
