Keen to hire a rower over Christmas

Post by strangeloop » November 28th, 2014, 5:30 am

I'm a UK citizen but I live and work in Beijing. Last year I brought my Concept 2 rower over here so that I could work out in my Beijing apartment.

I'm due to return home for a 3 week holiday between 11th December and 1st January. I'm keen to keep up my rowing over this period, especially considering all the Christmas excesses!, but there's no way I'm going to lug my rower all the way back over just for three weeks.

I've looked into rental options, but the costs are too high. The cheapest I can find is £39 a month, which isn't too bad, but then there's a £60 admin fee on top of this.

Anyone have any ideas? Does anyone have a rower I could hire for a reasonable fee? I'll be in Derbyshire for the three weeks I'm back.

You're probably best off just going to a gym: from a quick search I found a list of Derbyshire gyms. Of those that seem to still be in business, one of the first ones lists that they have rowers.
