Usirt Decision

I was wondering why the decision was made and has been made in the past to send the USIRT to the European champs rather than the BIRC.<br /><br />It would seem to me that it is easier to gain a medal at the Euro champs than it is to gain a medal the BIRC.<br /><br />Will we see the USIRT at BIRC in 2006.<br /><br />Sir Pirate

we've actually talked about this a good bit - there are plus/minus of both...<br /><br />Rotating the location of the EIRC and sending the USIRT there<br />1. new cool location so that no one gets bored of going to the same old same old (anyone tired of going to boston in february yet <br /><br />2. Help several countries 'raise the profile' of indoor rowing as a sport<br /><br />3. allow people who have a harder time traveling from each country to participate in the euro champs when they come to their home country.<br /><br />On the minus side:<br />1.Typically smaller races<br />2.
