From Bob Bridge, last Thursday:

"Keep October 2006 free and start training now. The New Zealand Indoor Rowing Association will be holding the WORLD SHORT COURSE INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP on the North Shore, Auckland. The events will be; 1000 meters, 500 meters, 300 meters, 100 meters, 500 meter pairs and 4 x 500 relays.

"Now we know that Kiwis are as fast as you can get, so turn up and let’s show the rest of the world just what a myth the flightless Kiwi is."

In the same email Bob writes,

"At the Nationals in Wellington on the 17th – 18th September, 46 New Zealand Records were broken."

You could stop here in Honolulu for a final tune-up. That way I'd get to see whether it would be worth my buying a ticket to try to beat you.

(Hmmm.. on second thought, go east, Arno -- go east!)

- Ralph
