You've got to be kidding, of course. Who would pay to watch a rowing race? The only time the audience was able to see an entire race was in the days that they ran a train for spectators down the Hudson River to watch the old IRA Regatta at Poughkeepsie. That was before WWII.<br /><br />I have always found it interesting that, at the recent major rowing events that I have attended (SD Crew Classic and U.S. Masters events), the number of participants seems to be almost equal to the number of spectators. The spectators themselves are just about all friends or family of the participants.<br /><br />Bob S.
