Single Day distance personal best yesterday. Today finished 200,000m goal for the Challenge. Going back to Intensity training for the Paralympics Trials next month so my meter count will be going down. The team is close to the Greenvlle team and can overtake them this weekend. Miss your updates Lisa they were great

Outstanding!! Good luck in your training, and let us know how you fare in the trials!!

Sorry about the lack of fun comments, but it is tough time-wise. Weekends are easier. And I never know who is reading and who isn't. I know the main crew who checks in, but for instance my friend Keir just posts his meters and doesn't read the forum. That's why I can post abusive comments at him and not get in trouble for it.

It's good to have him on the team though. He was on the Harvard heavyweight crew between 1987 and 1990, and his boat won an event at Henley in 1990. He went on to row in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. He hadn't rowed in forever, but I think he finally got jealous of seeing me in all my C2 shirts, and bought himself an erg. ;)

Thanks Doug!! Usually I do the postings for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday numbers and Cap'n postst for Sunday through Wednesday. I cover for him on holidays and when he's out of town. Or when pirates abscond with him. :)

I read the comments regularly. In fact, I look forward to them. That's not to say that I'm complaining at the fewer number of comments, I know how time consuming it is. It's great that you and Izz take on this task and it's very much appreciated.

I took a couple of days off to be sure, but things are feeling good. Let's raise my goal for the challenge to 220k - I seem to be on a 7k daily average.

Hi Lisa, I know I am on track to exceed my 200k goal, but unlike these other brave souls I am gonna keep it right there! I will just keep on rowing hard right up until the end of the FTC to give the team as many meters as I can!

Got you guys' updated goals! Thanks! B) B)

I know we have a few husband and wife pairs on our team... So you feel OK sharing an erg with your mate, how would you feel about spending 24-7 with that wonderful person in a teeny boat rowing in tandem? For 45 days?!? Yikes!! I think half their cargo was SPF 9000 sunscreen!
