Since the taunting season has arrived...

Image In an unusual, and unexpected, turn of events, what was to be a three hour harbor cruise for the passengers from the North, had a storied outcome of a different sort....

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
a tale of a fateful trip,
that started from this tropic port,
aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailin' man,
the Skipper brave and sure,
fifty three passengers set sail that day,
for a three hour tour,
a three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough,
the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
the Minnow would be lost.
The Minnow would be lost.

.......

Not that the Colts didn't give the Broncos some tough times....looks like Ed's Seahawks are in the best spot so far ....

Season meters as of 130/365 = 30,350,715 m

Total meters on the day = 224,341 m

Hooyah! It's the ninth day of the ninth month! Hope it is a great day on the erg!

The Rockies may have lost to the Mets (and a whole lot of other teams this season) last night, but how cool is it to see Nolan Arenado, our young third baseman, hit his fourth HR in five days?! You may recall that he had a hitting streak of 28 games earlier this season...and that leads the majors by seven games in either the American or National Leagues. Cool stuff. Even in a "losing" season, you can find some gems that make cheering on your home team all worthwhile. This guy earned a Gold Glove last year as a Rookie...we'll see if he gets one this year.

Season meters as of 131/365 = 30,592,330 m

Total meters on the day = 241,615 m

It's been a while since I've rowed or visited the site. The first comes from a flare up of my sciatica and the second is because my computer died  The puppy is doing well. He is slowly becoming less fearful and he seems to be getting comfortable with us. I know I must have missed a lot of milestones so CONGRATUALTIONS :!: to you all. Is it football season already? Man, I've really been out of it :?

She hasn't requested a boat pickup, so I think she is ok! The southwest doesn't do too well when it gets that kind of rain. We used to laugh about the way the streets were designed like big funnels - it was all so that when the heavy monsoon rains arrived, they could just post a lifeguard at the bottom of the street to catch all of us as we were swept away. They have better systems now.

Consistency!

Post by just27 » September 11th, 2014, 3:55 am

I was just looking at the Fall Challenge stats that Concept2 have available.
During the 2013 challenge, I posted 216,309 meters. For 2012 it was 216,492.
Perhaps I should reverse that downward slide and aspire to 216,675, this year.
(Or, there's always 216,612 ... palindromes being what they are. Game on!)
