No disappointment. I just happen to be a big fan of their football coach. I do the same thing to the US Naval Academy, a team that actually won this weekend.linneaf wrote:Andy, hate to disappoint but it's going to be Husky for the daughter, with family ties-dad retired from there also!! We still like Wazzu also, being from the dry side if the state, but the kid chose UDub!!

Hey all, I'm back after a short time off. I've been having some tendon problem in my right elbow and I'm not sure what's going on with it. Hopefully it doesn't bother me too much.

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
I'm pretty new to all of this, but I would like to be part of the Fall Challenge!
Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
That's great! Welcome aboard. You will need to go to the 'teams' page on the Concept 2 site where you log your meters and choose to participate as part of team 'Timbuktwo'. Then as you log meters the team will get credit in the challenge. Lisa or Izzy, please correct me if I am mistaken! Then you can just pick a target to aim for and 'row, row, row'!schroederkm wrote:I'm pretty new to all of this, but I would like to be part of the Fall Challenge!

Thanks so much! I've joined and I'll be aiming for 100k.
Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Welcome aboard all! We are very glad to row with you.
Please consider joining our year-round affiliation TimbukTOO also; just go into your profile, select "Edit Profile" and scroll down to the Affiliation section and choose TimbukTOO. The occasional Team Challenges are great, but health and fitness are year-round endeavors, and our Afilliation is where most of the activity takes place.
Good rowing to all in the upcoming Fall Team Challenge!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Sorry to miss all the new posts and new team members! Welcome everyone!! Destin, I think the deadline for signing up for the FTC is halfway through, but don't wait that long!
I second Jim's suggestion for those of you just on the challenge team to also join the affiliation. That way you can be part of the fun all year!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Great interval training row today. Was doing 2 minutes hard, followed by 2 minutes easy. I can pretty much row over 500 meters in any 2 minute piece right now, with some rest in between. I think I can cut the rest down to 90 seeconds in between hard pieces. While doing the intervals I rowed one of my fastest 5K segments to date.

I'd love to put you down for that amount, but unfortunately you have "name withheld" selected in your profile and I can't track your stats. This is the "Show Name in Honor Board and Standings" settings in your edit profile page. Same is true for Daniel Semple, if you're out there and listening...
