Thanks, Kona2!

I've been sidelined from almost ALL physical activity for over a year, battling foot issues--first a torn plantar plate ligament in one foot, then badly broken toes in the other! Doctor finally gave me the green light to get back on the erg as my toes continue to heal. So far, rowing causes the LEAST amount of pain of anything I do. :D Hoping all stays well for the fall challenge, although after so long doing nothing but clomping around in walking boots, my meters may be pretty low. At least I can contribute something, though!

So glad to be back...
welcome back to you and baz and to all the new/returning folks.....and woooo hooo and congrats to k2 and the luna dogs of summer....btw...i wish the daylight hours would not get shorter....

Whoop, whoop and welcome to Dan O'Brien and Mark Blanchard ! Here's wishing you many good rowing and/or ski-erging sessions and much good camaraderie!

Just watched a golfing buddy get her first hole in one ...and she is 75. She said she had to wait a lot of years to grab that milestone....it is SO luck of the bounce and draw. What a great bit of excitement that turned out to be, though. It never gets old to see someone that kind of happy! Our milestones are much more in our control here on the ERG front!

Season meters as of 124/365 = 29,474,588 m

Total meters on the day = 703,786 m

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

2.35 MM Ed
1.9 MM Steve G....rowling towards that 2 milion mark quickly!

Thanks, everyone, for rowing and ski-erging with us!

Eva-Kristin 4,298 m

Rebecca 5,000 m
Rick C 6,064 m
Sarah 6,215 m

Bernie 8,012 m
Minnie 10,000 m ....a good celebration kind of row....you should tell about it !
Larry 10,004 m
Steve G 15,000 m
Baz 15,142 m
David W (GBR) 19,207 m
David A 21,806 m

Dan O'B 271,790 m
Mark 274,672 m

And sorry to hear that you've had some challenges, Laurie - but glad you are back and working on adding to your meter count with us!

Thanks for the welcome Kona2!!! My name is Dan OBrien and I bought my Concept 2 Model D in June. Concentrating on both technique and conditioning for now. And I need work on both!! Didnt realize how out of shape I was until I did my first 2K time trial. Took quite a while to catch my breath. Again, thanks for the welcome and glad to be part of the LUNA-TICS!!

Thanks for the welcome back! I saw that the fall team challenge is starting soon, thought I should hop back on the erg and join all the fun :D

I've been having battery issues with my PM4 for a long time now, tried a lot of things but no luck. Was thinking I might need to just buy a new PM4, then I discovered that plugging in the USB seems to bypass the battery, so now I'm rowing and logging. Expect to see more meters now...

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 9.5.14

Image Buckle up ! The team challenges are soon to begin !!

Hooboy! We might hit the team 30 million meter mark today ! Way to row and ski-erg, Lunies !

Image
Starting to see more and more orange in the pumpkin fields as I go by! Each year, I plant many pumpkins and most of these turn out to be quite small. This worked well when the two and three year old play date friends got to roam through the garden and pick out "their" pumpkin and carry it off. I am going to have to read up on how to grow bigger pumpkins now since a friend has challenged me to see who can grow the biggest pumpkin for NEXT season.

Season meters as of 128/365 = 29,942,092 m

Total meters on the day = 115,170 m
