How to get in extra work

Hi, I am a fairly skinny 6'4" male rower, who is a sophomore in highschool.

I am wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what extra workouts I can be doing on top of 15 hours of practice a week.

I would like to do extra core, maybe some weight lifting, and some effective cross training.

Anyone have any ideas?

Also if you have any suggestions on gaining muscle weight, because I am trying to be a more competitive heavyweight.

Since you are still a sophomore, you probably still have some growing to do. To allow full growth, don't do any heavy lifting that puts pressure on your spine and/or your leg joints. That can wait until you are college age. Light weights and lots of reps are OK. Prone rowing to develop the lats should be OK, but counter balance that with bench presses or pushups to balance up the opposing muscles (mainly pecs and triceps). Don't go for max, keep the weights on the light side and do a lot of reps.

Eat, eat, eat. Most people who are skinny don,t eat enough. You are young, you train a lot, so you need lots of food. Food is not sugar, but protein and fats is whst you need.
If you want to do even more, ask you coach about it. Just piling extra work may not be a good option..
