I wasnt following all that was going on on the forum, so please forgive me iff I mention something that was discussed previously.
With the resond BIRC behind us, I would just like to ask why Dwayne wasnt there to do his world record in public.
Please dont understand me wrong, I will be the First to congratsulate him iff he do, what he claim, in public.
There is 2 things that bother me:1st He hasnt done anything special in public(help me if I'm wrong). 2nd:Since he tured 40 in Sept he did all the event in absolutely incredable times.
Being a 40+, I know what it takes out of you to do a PB, and I dont believe that somebody cannt recover so well do do all those times in such a short periot of time.
So I want to challange Dwayne to get Rowpro so that we can at least race via internet.
Happy do be prved wrong!!!!
Andreas
PS: just did 6:05.3 at BIRC(beat current world Champion(M40H)Niskanin for gold
Hi Andreas,

Regarding your PS:, I was watching your race against Niskanin from near the front row with SteveG and was mightily impressed. Was that a new PB for you? Congratulations on the win, and for doing such a fast time on a day when most people were going much slower than usual.

Rick

Hi,

Dwayne could download the Evaluation version, both to row against yourself and to try out RowPro!

The Marathon on the 12th of December would be great as this would put some great times on RowPro files, also 2 weeks is enough for you both to prepare at the levels at which you both are!

Also you both have fantastic Marathon PB's, rowing against each other could encourage you to hit new records.

Regards Paul.

P.S. Well done on a fantastic time Andreas at BIRC.
Andreas,
Firstly, congratulations on your hot 6:05 BIRC time. That's an improvement over your 3rd placed 6:08 time at the last Crash Bs, from which you looked liked you had trouble recovering from. You are now obviously in the best form of your life.

Hence, now is the best time to record all your various distances in Rowpro, before you lose form, so that you can keep them forever as historic files, for others or yourself to row against for many years into the future.

I have yet to see you log a time in the C2 rankings, as an uploaded Rowpro file and it's a shame that Dwayne didn't do that either when he was in form. I'm looking for faster Rowpro files, than the ones that I have logged in the rankings, so that I can download a faster file to race in my own time at home.

Rowpro times in the C2 rankings don't lie (unless you got someone else to row for you). I am just as sceptical as you of all the times Dwayne logged in the rankings at the start of the season. Far too many PB type times performed too close together, just a few days apart in some cases. We both know from experience that performing such times takes far too much out of your body to recover so quickly to perform another one. Everyone on the forum at the time seemed to be so much in awe that this discrepency seemed to slip past them.

Unfortunately now it may be difficult for both of you to race off head to head in the immediate future as your personal lives are at different points. Andreas, with your seperation from your wife and Dwayne just getting married, you both have dicovered the difference in the amount of time you have available for training.

It would be nice to see both of you race, in top form, at the next crash Bs. I think that you are both superb atheletes (despite the C2 rankings discrepencies) for blokes in their 40s. Failing that, let Rowpro do all the talking for you.

Keep it smooth, keep it relaxed
Roland Baltutis
I still have problems downloading Rowpro files and last weekend while away to Birmingham, lighting knock out my whole PC so I have get Rowpro again(that I will)
Thanks for your comments.I think its a good idee to PB's via Rowpro but I will need a whole season to do them all again( working on it)

I just like to state that I would like to race on Rowpro and I have done so, but I dont think I have to prove anything

Enjoy your MID LIFE CRISES
Andreas

I believe the validity of Dwayne's times, as to their being done closely together.

The combination of his muscular development, and all round training, makes this plausible.

Rod Freed has typically completed his ranking entries in a short time period as well.

It should be noted that Dwayne does not enter ranking times every day or every week, but rather after a longer period of conditioning that brings him to the fitness to do them.

What is unusual about that????

Nothing.

Besides that, his 2k of 5:47.1 has been witnessed and validated, which is superior to the other times he has entered.

With the exception of the last time all were performed within a two week period. My argument is not to doubt the times individually but rather that Dwayne, as good an athelete as he is, would be pushing the envelope a little too far to perform them within a 2 week period.

I think that he has probably used some of last season's times to stack the opening of the new season to impress us all. The only problem with that is that I don't think that that is permitted.

I'll let you be the judge but I'm not that gullible. That's why we need more people recording times with Rowpro to silence the "doubting Thomases" of this world.

Keep it smooth, keep it relaxed
Roland Baltutis
For all the sceptics out there -

First let me say that I'm not one to normally sit and toot my own horn. I find it...well let's just say I don't like to do it.

Let me also say that I find having to explain myself and my accomplishments borish. Someone is questioning my integrity. That ain't cool people!!

All the times are legit. Nothing else needs to be said. Maybe if the people questioning my honor were in shape enough to be able to do what I have done, then they would be able to understand. It would seem that that isn't the case however. QED.

Dwayne

Can't find "borish", but there are a couple options:

BOORISH: implies rudeness of manner due to insensitiveness to others' feelings and unwillingness to be agreeable.

BOARISH: Acting like an uncastrated male boar.

Now the former is most likely the one you were after, however with the various smack-talking threads with the UK boys the later fits too.

I've met both Andreas and Roland, and have to say that they didn't seem the type to harbor any sort of ill will toward other athletes, or to question ones integrity. I may be recalling inaccurately and please correct me if I am, but there was a rather contentious thread regarding the accuracy of ranking entries started by you some time back and didn't momma always say, "what goes around, comes around"?

Heck, you could provide a video of the performance monitor for the entire piece and if someone doesn't want to believe it they aren't going to. What, do they think that an Erg sitting in the middle of a Large room with a bunch of other people is somehow different from the one anywhere else in the world? Anyway, isn't moving a boat what you really want to do?

If only I were so good that people questioned the validity of my times!! What a fine compliment. I understand the irritation of feeling insulted with the questions regarding my integrity, but I would know what I've done and that's what would matter most to me. If I did them and they question whether they're even possible, I done pretty darn good.

Dwayne would have to be a pretty sad (lame, shallow, in-need-of-self-inflation, etc.) person to submit false times purely for deception and the reception of misplaced kudos. Why would he do it? To fluff his own ego? That's the only reason I can see. A reputation gained through falsehood would soon crumble in the light of any real validated test, and without such validation the reputation is pretty meaningless anyway; so what, then?

Besides, I see no basis or grounds for suspicion, and it's a little low to question the integrity of someone without foundation.
