I was hoping for the 200k but soreness told me to not push it. I will be around 160k, which isnt too bad for a guy just getting into the erg thing in October. Great motivation this challenge has been for me and hope to do some other challenges and keep on ergin

I'm at 190,642. Looking forward to wrapping it up before midnight tomorrow. 436K total, starting in Sept. After the Christmas challenge, going to branch out into some cross-training (walking, Nordic Track, etc.), and mix up the rowing some. I'd like to keep it at 9-10K, but put in some long rows, and some 500 intervals.

At the moment I'm doing 40 mins a day on the stepper, and an hour on the bike in an attempt to lose weight plus around 25k a day.

Question is would it be better to do all erging rather than 1hour 40 mins on other equipment?

Any answers, comments all welcome

I'll still try to get to 1 million by the end of the season.

Watch your diet, row with an intensity that uses predominantly fats rather than carbo's for fuel and live with the consequences. Trying to change your body into something it was not 'meant' to be is not an achievement, it is a punishment best left to supermodels - something u and I aint

OI ! George, I could have been a super model (male of course)

I don't know about overdoing it . I feel fine. Having said that i do feel a bit knackered after about 7k of a 1/2M for instance, but I guess that is just about lack of fuel.

I think that going along at 2.11 pace is the fat burning area, however some people say it is better to go harder then you burn more calories for longer. Should I be just doing 2.11's for 30k a day or 1.58's for 20k a day?
