Yowza, if I'd know how close I was to 950K, I would have stayed a little longer at the gym! A big surprise today--new rowers! It was subtlety different (better) than my old C2 at home, which I think is old enough to be a teenager.

Welcome to all of the newbies! And the oldbies. I hope Lisa is having a great vacay!

Our average meters rowed per member is pretty darned large.... #1 for teams of 50 or more and #2 for teams of 20 or more.
And suddenly, we are in a close battle for 6th place overall- regardless of team size!
We are really doing well-

row, row, row your boat.........

I was thinking the same thing. There are many members on the team who are on track to achieve 3 million meters or more this season. We usually have two or three reach that level. Lots of rowing going on! Keep up the great work everyone!

Ugh! Four cords of firewood delivered today. :? Gotta stack it. So rowing will be light for a bit, but I am still on track for 8K per day average this year.

Jim, I feel your pain. The "tree guy" is coming next week to cut down 4 big oaks, ranging from 50-75 ft tall. My husband has asked them to pretty please leave the wood........ So in my near future: renting a log splitter, lugging the tree butts, splitting the wood, lugging the wood, stacking the wood. We still have several cords, courtesy of Superstorm Sandy.

Hey David! I meant to tell you ... You have my utmost respect. When I am on vacation, rowing is the absolute last thing on my mind. You, on the other hand, get excited that the resort has a rower! You are a rowing maniac!

Bobbie, splitting wood is so much more work than stacking wood. You have my sympathies. The funny thing is, when I was a kid, my friend's ex-USMC father convinced us that splitting wood was fun, and for a few summers he would sit and read the paper and drink beers, smoke cigarettes, and watch us kids split the wood with mallets and wedges. He would make a competition of it, and egg us on, and we were completely convinced it was fun. Now ... I don't mind stacking it so much; it's tedious but fairly easy. But splitting wood is best left for the younger generation.

Drat! I raced Jaybird today in a half marathon and lost by 15 minutes. One good thing was first ranking as a lightweight. 16 out of 23 but ok with that.
