GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

I tried again today and bailed out at a little over 5K at 2:01.4 Just couldn't make myself push through it. I think to do better I'm going to have to have someone there to beat me with an ugly stick if I want to quit.

I finished out the rest of the 10K doing 100m sprints with 400 m active rest between. The sprints felt good and by the end I was seeing lots of 1:37s. I really should have just stuck the 10K. Guess I can't have my tea tomorrow in my Taff mug

CTC/60M

Post by Marie » April 14th, 2006, 10:30 am

I haven't rowed in about a month - now I am motivated to help out with the CTC and Dwayne's challenge to us to hit 60M this season.

Just added 10,000 and completed our third boat.

Our season total sits at 59,228,229 - certainly we can pass 60,000,000!

There's still time yet to do it and I'm sure you have it in you
or shall I try the stick beating approach-
GET BACK ON THAT ERG AND DON'T GET OFF TILL YOU'VE DONE IT!!

If you do it then I will have to do a 42.30 :D

Brilliant stuff Marie we have now zoomed up the rankings thanks to you :D :D :D

Have been entering my metres like a good Taffette 21,500 in three days.
Hopefully I shall be doing 100,000 in the time required.
The only problem is I took this up to lose weight and so far I have gained 3 lbs this week, if this goes on I shall go off erging

Off for a few days now with the girl's sailing.

60M?

Post by Marie » April 14th, 2006, 7:00 pm

This morning Taff Attack season total was 59,228,229.
Now we are sitting at 58,218,270 from 52 members!!?

[I thought it was only on the water that one travels backwards.] :o

I didn't notice how many members we had earlier. Did we lose a few?

Now that 60M looks a little further away.

What do you say team? Can we do it?

Yeah, I noticed that too. No idea who signed off.

I'd love to be able to put in more meters, but I leave for vacation on Wednesday. I'll do what I can before I leave though.

There's the old TA spirit!! Brendo, how long you going to let him keep "your" seat in Taff II?

Happy Easter to all Taffs who celebrate it!

Hey Taffs, there's a newbie over on the UK forum called "big hopper" who hails from Gwynedd, and apparently pulls a 6:11 as a rugby player ....

You might want to snap him up before some other team does ....

Will he join the original TAFF ATTACK or the breakaway "Taff Attack Racing" team. Let's hope it's the former rather than the latter.

I won't comment on the rationale behind TAR, except to say I think it's the wrong move.

Why do think it's the wrong move?
