Lunatics in Real Time
Ran into fellow Lunatic, Tom McGuire, at a restaurant (then at a play), last night. How fun is that!
It's a small world, and I'm sure any of our Moon-bound paths could cross. An upcoming trip to New Orleans features a plane change in Denver ... we'll probably have to run to even make our connection, or we might have hooked up with Kona2. Bazzy doesn't know it, yet, but I plan to invite him and Janet out for a beer, sometime, Sydney-side!

He's A Meter Millionaire!
Whoop, whoop and hooyah! Another rocketman! Adam's been pounding out the meters - and his last meter upload caught this astrogator by surprise (even if it is probably a two day number!). Congratulations, Adam, on achieving a ONE million meter rowing season! We wish you many, MANY more!

Day 16 of Madness....!
Hooyah! Chuck B must have found a lucky Shamrock sprinkled on top of all those pots of gold he's been collecting during the Madness Challenge...because he is the second WINNER of a random drawing of Concept2 prizes! Love it when the numbers play out as they should...and another Lunie takes home a prize. Chuck celebrated this good fortune by posting his team profile picture on the team page (well, that might have been coincidental!). Congratulations, Chuck!
And, speaking of congratulations....our 100K in a day (several times) fueled by pizza, million meter cupcake baking Miss Kiba has an awesome husband Kurtis C (KC marries KC! a double double) who has now joined our Lunie team. Welcome ! And congratulations Kiba and Kurtis!
Lunies still in the hunt for the random drawings of Concept2 prizes ...entry earned by posting or . And...there it was...another bunny trail to follow. Many of you may be familiar with the Children's Treasury books of stories....and there was at least one story that had a lot of pictures instead of the words put into the story (apparently this is called rebus format)...so beginning readers could "read" along with the story. I'm thinking of the story about The Little Red Hen...but maybe there were other stories that used the same picture device....she was an overworked little red hen as I recall...

WEC Onwards...now in Day 4 of 31
Day 4 dawns....there's been a shift in the force....
Day 4 finds that Age Without Limits has grabbed its erg bootstraps and pulled its way to the top. Looks to be a good battle for position ranks 1-2-3 at the moment with just about 200K separating the bunch. Overcoming Disabilities is again demonstrating that they have that ever elusive, but oh so valuable quality of perseverance. Some might call it grit - because these folks are all about finding a way to push themselves and their teammates beyond what they might have thought they could do. And they get ONE HUNDRED PERCENT PARTICIPATION in every single challenge. Few teams can make that claim.

Meanwhile, two Lunies in the top five of the individual leaderboard, and Ed Church and Jim Kielma not far off that mark. Adam, who rows as a year-round Luna-Tic, is putting on a show - pulling close to 100K in a day. Must throw out the cautionary flag here, though, as team history shows that increasing daily meters in such a drastic amount in a short time can lead to shoulder, elbow, and other joint/tendon issues. Be careful, Adam! Inquiring minds want to know how the heck you are rowing so many hours in a day...the erg seat time alone would kill off most of us! I can see the stack of seat cushions now...like the Prince and the Pea story (had to change it up a little here).

Day 4 finds that Age Without Limits has grabbed its erg bootstraps and pulled its way to the top. Looks to be a good battle for position ranks 1-2-3 at the moment with just about 200K separating the bunch.
