. And...there it was...another bunny trail to follow. Many of you may be familiar with the Children's Treasury books of stories....and there was at least one story that had a lot of pictures instead of the words put into the story (apparently this is called rebus format)...so beginning readers could "read" along with the story. I'm thinking of the story about The Little Red Hen...but maybe there were other stories that used the same picture device....she was an overworked little red hen as I recall...
