PM2 monitor available
PM2 monitor available
I have a working PM2 monitor available for anyone that needs one. Upgraded our model C with a PM3. Rather than having it sitting around for years, I thought I would post it here to see if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Bernd

Re: PM2 monitor available
Hi, I have a problem with my PM4 which I use on a model D rower. Would a PM2 work on this model?
Many thanks,
Phil

No.
The flywheel sensor on a model D/E is not compatible.

Ok many thanks for offering it out there to everyone and thanks for the advice.

Bernd57....is this a PM2+ where you can hook up to a computer or HR Monitor? Or is it the older PM2? And ebay might be your best bet on selling.

Re: PM2 monitor available
Don't want to post it on Ebay. Thought to offer it here as this is THE place for rowers to hang out.
It is a standard PM2 monitor. The battery compartment is clean as had no evident spills, was working just fine when I replaced it with a PM3. I have no idea what they are worth, but elsewhere on this forum they seem to bring about $50.
For me that doesn't matter that much as long as someone gets it that really needs it.
Actually, on a slightly different angle, since I have both the PM3 as well as the old PM2 monitors:
Has anyone tried to split the output signal from the rower and fed two different monitors?
Is it possible? It would allow the rower to display different data on the two monitors at the same time. More for fun than anything else, but worth asking.........

Hi bernd57,
My PM2 has "packed it in" so I am really interested in yours as rowing without a monitor is just not as good. Is yours still available and, if yes, whereabouts are you (my model C and I are in Sydney, Australia)?
Thanks.

Re: PM2 monitor available
Hi bernd57! My friend has been trying to repair my PM2 with no luck. I was just about ready to buy the PM3 retrofit kit when I stumbled upon your post. If it is still available I would definitely like to get it from you. My screen is perfect on my PM2 however it does not register anything from the rower. I have replaced the pickup sensor and that didn't help either. Let me know. Thanks! I'm in Northern California FYI.

The OP hasn't visited the forum since Tue 11 Mar 2014, 13:57. So you are probably out of luck.exerquip101 wrote:Did you ever sell your pm2 monitor? I couldn't tell on the forum

Buy a PM4 it's a much better, much more capable monitor.
