The answer you seek is hidden in the forum pages....
Ok. I went back....waaaaay back....to the 2011 Concept2 season, which appears to be the first time AJ introduced canoes, oars and bathtubs. I believe million meter boats were introduced in 2012 season.
Over the years, I find that I have highlighted different things - and that the graphics that AJ might have used in 2010 or 2011 are gone, baby, gone. I don't have the overall numbers of people who made it to canoes and/or paddles - a statistic that is important to me today. I do have the 500K and above numbers and names. The bottom line is that we have the potential for this to be our best VTC ever with the most in the ARMOONDA, the most meter totals, best VTC finish, and most in the bathtub brigade.
thanks for looking up all these bathtubs :}
ANOTHER Bathtub Claimed !!
Cathie Chugak
Hooboy! Another bathtub joins the brigade - and it's flying the flag of Alaska! This is Cathie's FOURTH year in a row to achieve tub status (and there were a couple of million meter boat years in there, too!). Powerhouse! Congratulations!
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Do the ducks have meaning in the bathtubs? I remember a few years ago we were competing with Ducks in a row and i had the kids do a video to "All the ducks are swimming in the water" by lemon jelly (Chris perhaps suggested this song?)

Re: Important Request RE: Military Challenge
Thanks for this reminder, Jan. It wouldn't hurt to post it again on the 31st., and 1st. And thanks for researching the tubs. I didn't mean to have you spend a lot of time on it. I thought maybe you had the numbers on a master galactic spreadsheet somewhere.Kona2 wrote:REQUEST for all teammates who will be joining the Military Challenge: Please do NOT change your affiliation until FEBRUARY 4th ... after all the meters are calculated for the Virtual Team Challenge ! Teams have until February 3rd at midnight to enter their team meters. In the last few years, it has often been a number of 20,000 m or LESS that determines team placement.
Your military challenge meters will still be credited back to the meters rowed for February 1st, so your temporary duty affiliation won't lose out.
Thank you.
Great job rowing, Team. Congratulations to all.
