Very nice job on the bathtubs, AJ. And great job to all those who have put in the effort to achieve one. Way to row. In the past, what was the largest number of tubs earned in this challenge?

I don't know if I will be able to pull a marathon for the Seahawks, but I will be ending all my rows with the number 12, for the famous Seattle 12th man (the crowd). For those not familiar with American football, there are 11 players for each side on the field at one time. Seattle has the World record for the loudest stadium LOB -legion of boom.
Please note, Kona, that the C2 logo on the model ds seems like Seahawk colors

The answer you seek is hidden in the forum pages....

Ok. I went back....waaaaay back....to the 2011 Concept2 season, which appears to be the first time AJ introduced canoes, oars and bathtubs. I believe million meter boats were introduced in 2012 season.
Over the years, I find that I have highlighted different things - and that the graphics that AJ might have used in 2010 or 2011 are gone, baby, gone. I don't have the overall numbers of people who made it to canoes and/or paddles - a statistic that is important to me today. I do have the 500K and above numbers and names. The bottom line is that we have the potential for this to be our best VTC ever with the most in the ARMOONDA, the most meter totals, best VTC finish, and most in the bathtub brigade. Here you go:

2011 Season - 16 bathtubs in the brigade:

Jay
Cathie
Ray W
Jerry H
Chip
Will
Ron
Minnie
Luke J
Robyn
Pat B
Bart V
AJ
Mike G - TMITWH
Katerina
Kristine

2012 Season: 13 bathtubs

Jay
Ron
Cathie
Jerry H
Roger G
Katerina
Pat B
Robyn
Tammy G
Richard T
Chip
Barbara ---- you HAVE earned a tub before but I don't think we had graphics for 2012
Will S

2013 Season (Last Year): 11 tubs

Michelle
Cathie
Ronnie
K2
Dana N
Marie
Rosita
Jim
Jay
Richard
Norton

2014 Season (So Far): 11 bathtubs...trending towards 24

Ed
Ron
Jim
Jay
Walter
Michelle
Ronnie
Dan R
Barbara aka bg
Rosita
Harold

Those who are close (> 400K currently):

Christa
Zander
Cathie
Anita
Marie
Norma
Richard T
Rivka
Luna - would be the first skierg 500K I think
Elton
Norton
Sam
Sarah H

Important Request RE: Military Challenge

Post by Kona2 » January 24th, 2014, 1:15 pm

REQUEST for all teammates who will be joining the Military Challenge: Please do NOT change your affiliation until FEBRUARY 4th ... after all the meters are calculated for the Virtual Team Challenge ! Teams have until February 3rd at midnight to enter their team meters. In the last few years, it has often been a number of 20,000 m or LESS that determines team placement.

Your military challenge meters will still be credited back to the meters rowed for February 1st, so your temporary duty affiliation won't lose out.

Thank you.
