All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 1.16.14

Post by Kona2 » January 17th, 2014, 1:36 pm

Welcome back to the year round team to Walter W, and welcome to new teammates Robby H and Kyle M (Terry's been recruiting :D )! We wish you many good erg sessions and lots of good camaraderie! We hope to bring out the best (and the BEAST) in all our teammates!

Gotta admit that all this football mania is sure sweeping the city! The televised games don't always show Thunder, the Arabian that's ridden down the field from south to north after every Broncos score. His "team" includes his rider, a handler, and one who is the pooper scooper. And then there's the Thunderstorm, a four person skydiving team that parachutes onto the field prior to each game - weather permitting.

Season meters as of 261/365 = 110,997,600 m

Total meters on the day = 2,894,445 m

Oars in space (participation) = 34 percent

OK, OK -- I'll 'fess up. That's me--the sheepish one with 5246m. I overdid it and had to "Ice Ice Baby." Hahaha K2!! But I'll be back...

I didn't even notice the sheepish sheep, at first pass ... all those great little asides and images that get thrown into the mix!
I hope that the ice helped, and that you'll soon be splashing your way on-up to the next canoe.

Funny thing about the carrots....I guess when they were getting Thunder used to a quick gallop down the sidelines, he was kind of freaked out by the pom poms held by the cheerleaders. To get past that fear, the trainers gave the cheerleaders carrots that they hid in their pockets to give Thunder. Thunder now makes a beeline (or a carrot line) for the cheerleaders...poms long forgotten. So, yes, I hope he gets to eat a lot of carrots as he goes by on Sunday...

After the 52-20 Broncos win against the Eagles, a reporter told Peyton Manning that the 52 was a Broncos' franchise high. Peyton quipped, "May have to give ol' Thunder an IV after that one." Snort.

I think the seahawk is the same as the osprey...and we have those here.

Awk! Guinan has joined in the fray! Just happen to have a Seahawks 12th man item handy since family friend Rachel (pastry chef that she is!), has baked another winner:

Guess it makes good sense that those of you who are, or have recently, lived in Seattle area are whooping it up for tomorrow's games! Now...teammate Robyn will be cheering on the 49ers, of course.

Good luck to all the teams...and, if the Broncos win....Thunder's going to NY ! Carrots for the trip will be accepted since we are feeding the beast...
