Ah now you've done it. I read that posting just after reading something a friend posted elsewhere. It's his version of the playoffs, and now I just have to share it:
Some Other Posting wrote: oh man did you all see the socially positive televised sporting events today? they were so amazing!! There was the team and the other team and they played against each other and everyone was like "WOW, THE BALL!!" and the other team was like, "OH NO!!!" and the players ran and threw and fell and spit, and OMG that one play with the penalty and the fans cheered and the scores happened and PLAYOFFS and SUPERBOWL YAYYY!!! I almost forgot about the coach and the ball when the teams were like "we want the ball" and the other team was like "we want the ball" and then they were like "WE have more points, BOOM, where are my millions?" and budweiser was like "here are your millions, don't spend them all on cocaine... ah who are we kidding, snort away, you're on tv"
But not on Andy's TV because he's in Walmart abusing employees and setting examples for his 6 year old!

Hey team,
I have been steadily turning the crank on my meters and I am excited to be approaching 1 million lifetime meters. I just started rowing on August 1st, 2013 and will pass 1M at some point during the next couple of days! I really appreciate all of the support and encouragement the team has been giving me. Let's kick some ass in this VTC! Go TimbukTOO/TimbukTWO!

Sorry team I had to step away for a few days, had pretty bad sinus infection which just knocked me off of any activity and 2 after I recovered actually took a vacation. But I did get four days in. Glad to be back and see some great numbers.

Pretty good sporting summary. I did finally row yesterday, which is what is important. When is your first OTW race? We're taking a 4X out on Sunday./ That will be my first time in a boat since 12/1.

We've been OTW pretty steadily so far this winter. Weather on west coast has been terrible (which means too warm, no precipitation, ergo no snow!), so all we can do is say "darn...gotta go row on that awful glassy water again". Did a nice row in a quad on the 1st, which was my first time in a quad. Gotta say, when I look at an erg, then look at a quad, then look at an erg...the choice is pretty simple!

Not sure when the racing season will actually start...sometime in March/April would be my guess. Right now we're just slogging through the winter trying to balance the beer consumption with erg meters every Wednesday night!

Sounds like a very challenging time for you. We had an early ice storm and then this Polar Vortex™. No indoor racing for you next month? Anyone else? I know Izz is racing.

Smarty pants. ;)

Here is THEE most technically complete and geeky analysis of the whole "half full half empty" issue. :)

XKCD: What if a glass of water was, all of a sudden, literally half empty?

Caution: Content contains highly stylized pictures of stick figures suffering injury and blood loss.
