im a 64 yr old active lady, i walk on the treadmill and exercise regularly, recently ive been experiencing numbness in my toes, and muscle spasms, at night.
i went shopping earlier today and a spasm caught me in my leg and toes on my left side and i didnt know if i could make it home or not, unfortuatelly, i only had
about 5 mins left to get home..
i have an artery taken out of my left leg when i had open heart surgery, but its not always the left leg..
my md put me on vitamin b1 and niacin, i cant tell if that helps or not, but this is so painful to be such a minor thing...anyone out there have this, if so, what do you do for it..thanks...pat

Be sure you're rowing steadily and gradually, not too hard.

It helps to row easily afterwards for a few minutes to cool down.

Try doing some yoga sun salutations in the mornings, before you start exercising, and at night.

Be sure you are getting enough magnesium in the foods you are eating.

Drink clean water, meaning reverse osmosis or distilled.

I personally find fresh green veggie juices to be very helpful, as well as relaxing and nourishing for the nerves.

You could also toss a pinch of valerian root in the blender with water, blend this well, strain it through a colander, then drink this several times a day. Valerian is relaxing for the nerves and can take away tooth pain as well.

She hadn't had heart surgery, but she had had the vein ops. She was active. It bothered her for years, and she tried all sorts of stuff that didn't work. Eventually, someone suggested Quinine tabs, and the problem cleared up for her once she started taking a daily dose.

hope that helps,

Michael
