Thanks for the info Lisa, I am trying with the weight lifting gloves and both my elbows and hands feel much better. I actually had blisters on top of callouses. I am not having any pain with the popping in my back or hips. It does seem to be something with range of motion which I will work on. I have been stretching like you suggested and it seems to be easing up some so I will continue and see how that goes. Thanks again for your suggestions!

I have rowed a bit since I began "erging" on 8/5/13. I do not grip the handle but instead I hook my fingers on it so I am just having the first two knuckles be the weight bearers. I do not use my thumbs and though I have suffered some 2nd degree friction burns above the arm pit area before, I have had no blisters on my hands and only slight calluses. When I see/feel a callous forming, I simply file it down with a pedi-file to hinder any blister formation. I was starting to get callouses and blisters on my hands until I switched to this technique.

Remember your hands are merely for the most part guiding the bar along; your legs should be doing most of the work.

( I am not bragging, i am simply trying to off what works for me as a suggestion to try. =])

hope that helps =])

Howdy, all. Back from vacay! Today's goal---12K will push me over my 1 million meters (lifetime)! (About 2/3rds acquired this season, which isn't saying much considering I bought my C2 back in....2002? 2003?) Oh well, better late than never  Maybe I'll put my erg on the front porch so I can scare the trick-or-treaters, and rack up some more mileage! Leave the candy on the steps, and tell them, between labored breaths.... "Just help yourself."
Happy Halloween, TimbukTOOers! --Bobbie

The goal for the next couple months is to not gain weight during the upcoming holidays...

Congratulations, Jim! How long did it take you to accumulate the 8 mill? Do you have a goal for the season total?

I dug out Wednesday's numbers and posted. Cap'n must have gotten tied up...

I wish I could manage that calorie burn. Revel in it! (And try to keep away from the cookies! :) )
